Happy Birthday Matt!

Today is Matt's birthday! He was definitely the center of attention at the house this morning... after a few days away, we all want his attention! We had cinnamon rolls for breakfast, talked to family on the phone, and played here for a bit before he headed to campus.

There was a short but intense hail storm this morning about 8 - maybe in honor of this North Dakota boy's birthday?!? It snows here only once every few years, nothing like the frozen tundra of North Dakota (I just checked the weather for ND tomorrow - the forecasted high is NEGATIVE 7!)

Here he is with his cinnamon rolls ...

Lydia skipped the cinnamon rolls, but celebrated with her FIRST BITE of rice cereal. She played with it a lot, but also managed to consume some.

And, here's one more photo I took a few days ago - the girls got these outfits from Grandma.

We love you Matt!! Happy Birthday!

Happy birthday again, Matt! Looks like Laura baked up some yummy sweet rolls to start your special day! Julianna looks happy and proud too - I'm sure she was a big help to Mommy. Wow, that Lydia is growing - what wonderful cheeks she has! Love, Patt

Happy Birthday to Matt! We are some friends from ND. My brother in law, Dave, went to school with Matt and we got to know him through some trips and visits. It's been fun getting to know your little family through your blog. I totally can relate to some of your tough days! I have three at home, 5, 3, and 7 months. We are at checkoatmeal.blogspot.com. Have a great day!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Matt! I can still remember the day you were born. What fun to recall the excitement - now that you have children you know how thrilled your parents were when you arrived.

Actually, it really isn't that cold here. Tomorrow it will be in the teens! Hopefully no more of that subzero stuff.
