Today is Yuan Xiao Jie - the 15th day of the new lunar year. Basically, what that means is "today is yet another excuse to set off more firecrackers". If you can't tell, I'm having a bit of cultural stress right now! Yes, it's 7:40am. Julianna (up early from all the firecracker noise) is on my lap. Firecrackers have gone off since before 7am. I'm not sure how the girls managed to sleep as long as they did - it is SO LOUD! I'm hoping that the neighbors will use up all their firecrackers early in the day and there won't be any left for this evening :)
Here's hoping today gets quieter and quieter as the hours go by ....
