Fei Fei is Julianna's new buddy. The two little girls met outside earlier this afternoon and are primarily linked by a love of chickens.
It's a good time of year to be a chicken-lover (but not a good time of year to be a chicken). With the lunar new year celebration just around the corner, many families purchase a chicken to fatten up for the big feast. A simple leash around leg binds many a chicken to the nearest telephone pole, tree, or bicycle stand. For two year olds, it translates into constant entertainment.
While Fei Fei and Julianna, hand in hand, chased chickens (who always seem to be a step ahead of the nearest toddler) Fei Fei's grandma and I had a nice little chat. (When they tired of chasing chickens, the girls moved on to pulling grass from a green area bordering the sidewalk.) Julianna kept asking if Fei Fei could come home with us and see her new kitchen (her birthday gift). Unfortunately, both grandma and I had to head home to start dinner. Maybe next time...

What fun to watch two little girls chase chickens! And the poor chickens, tormented now only to be eaten later. We should count our blessings - which you all are! Love, Mom/Grandmama
That is hilarious!!! I can just see Caroline and Will having a blast doing the same thing. Justin and I had a good laugh over this story.
