The international school in town graciously allows us to borrow books from their library. We don't get over there often but when we do we load up. The librarian makes sure to ask "did you get enough?" and it's clear she is glad to share her resources with us.
And we are thankful to be the recipients of her bounty!
We received two Kindle Fires in November and they have been great; helpfully opening up more e-reader possibilities for all our elementary school-ers and I think Isaac has read just about every Boxcar Children book available from the Wake County Public Library system. But there's just something special about a real book in your hands.
The library was a Friday morning trip and they read through lunch (pb&j in one hand, book in the other) and then retreated to quieter spot for more pages before it was time to head to Chinese school. We hosted two super fun guests Friday night and together made piles and piles and piles of sugar cookies. Matt arrived a bit before lunchtime today and we decorated cookies this afternoon. Pics to come....
but i do have one final piece of fun for you.
Lydia, at lunch today.

After going to the library is the most quiet time in my house. And also the one time I don't worry about why it's so quiet! Julie
Yes, what a blessing to have access to the school library!
