Today I took photos of our apartment. It is a sweet little place, and fast becoming HOME for our family. The floor plan is very similar to our old apartment - an open kitchen, dining, living room area and then a small "hallway" with four doors: Isaac's room, girls' room, bathroom, and our bedroom.
So, here's the tour :) Open our front door and this is what you see
That's our helper Xiao Ren at the sink, washing dishes no doubt. Off to her right is a narrow doorway onto the utility porch (home to our deep freezer, washer and dryer).
Back at the front door, if you turn 90 degrees to the right this is what you see
and keep on turning to get a look at the whole living room.
The doors open onto our front porch and (fenced) yard. I took this shot standing out on the porch, looking in the big glass doors.
Now, for the four doors of our 'hallway'....
Door #1 our bedroom
Our room is directly behind the sofa wall in the living room. The windows look out into our yard (but the pagoda looking thing is actually in our neighbors' yard).
Door #2 the bathroom
Pretty cozy for our family of 5 :)
Door #3 the girls room (far back corner of the house)
and door #4 Isaac's room (directly behind the bookshelf in the living room - on the back wall he has huge glass sliding doors that open onto the utility porch).
Matt is off on a little trip and will be back tomorrow afternoon, so it's a quiet evening here. Hope you enjoyed the tour, and don't forget to come see it in person sometime soon :)

Wonderful -you've made a lovely home for your family! Love the big windows, lots of light and an actual yard! Matt did good choosing your new apartment. Love you all bunches!

Love it! Thanks so much for sharing - would love to see the yard too sometime :) Love Isaac's tree on his wall!!
so glad to see it! is that baby carrier Xiao Li's mom made on your wall in your dining room? would love to see a pic of that-I am planning to get mine framed too, but not sure how to do it. also, like the mirror in the living room!
That looks like a wonderful place! The living room reminds me of our home in Hawaii. It had the same yellow walls and big windows!
Your home is so cute and nicely renovated! Did you do all that yourself or was there an American living there before you? The tile in the bathroom is so cool and atypical for here.
Looks great Laura! So glad I got to see you briefly last weekend. :)
Love it! You did a great job there sister!! :) And you have no idea how I would LOVE to come and see it in person sometime!! :-)
wow, I can't believe how much you already have on the walls...more than me, and I have been here almost 9 months. It looks great. Hoping one day we will get down there and get to visit. Miss you!
Looks great! So good to see you last week. Hope to see you again soon!
Love,
Kayla
