washing up winter

End of April, it's about time to put away those snow pants.  I hope :)

This week I washed and put away winter gear.  Not all of it, but a lot of it.  We've seen pretty chilly mornings this week, so some of us are still in heavier jackets.  But I'm counting on the temperatures continuing to rise, even slowly, and we won't be wearing these gloves and mittens again.  At least not this winter.

The preliminary packing starts too... I already have a growing pile of "back to Asia" stuff, and our weeks of transitional living start sooner than later (boohoo).

We'll be in this house another week or so, then move in with Matt's parents for the end of the school year.  As soon as school gets out (May 22) we head to North Carolina, where we plan to mostly split our time between my parents house and the beach house :)

Well, the kids and I will be splitting the time!  Matt will probably spend fewer days with his toes in the sand.  It'll depend on how much of his work can be done from the beach :)

In the meantime, we're soaking up every minute.  There are some tricky tough days ahead, so it's good to enjoy the smoother waters this week dished out.

Which included plenty of B.B. (the backyard bunny) sightings.  This little guy is crazy bold, and once even showed up with a friend... Isaac declared the friend was almost certainly a cousin, but we'll never know and the friend-cousin hasn't returned.  B.B. does blend much better with the greenish brown grass of early spring but we still see him lots, and he never fails to disappoint our audience.

It's a good feeling to put away winter gear. But I so wish for warmer temps outside for us. It's been so cold again!!! Jan
