prepping for a party

This Saturday we're hosting an Easter party for our neighbors.  And we're all pretty excited about it.

We made the invitations a few days ago and are busy passing them out.  The list of invitees is long and getting longer.... we're gonna have to limit the numbers at some point :)  All three of my big kids have invited a couple of friends from their school class too.

Of course, we have no idea how many people will actually show up.  I'm guessing somewhere between 4 and 40.  Makes party prep a bit interesting, huh?

Nobody, practically nobody, knows anything about Easter or why we would bother to celebrate.  And we're delighted to get to tell them.

Oh my, what an outstanding idea. We will be praying for your party, that God would use it to show his love to your neighbors, and your children experience loving your neighbors too in a different kind of way. Sounds like a blast and sacrificial of your time Laura. God bless you all. Grandma Jan

We had Easter as a topic for international (mostly Chinese) students last weekend. After a slide presentation of Easter, someone brought resurrection eggs to each table to discuss. We also had an egg relay and egg toss. The students had a good time and were now have a better understanding of our culture. I will be praying your presentation goes well also. Cheryl

I'm sure the number will probably be closer to 40 or rather 140...one vocal stairwell and the whole neighborhood may show up! I know it will be a blessing to everyone!

Big undertaking, how exciting your family to make this opportunity to share. We'll be praying for a manageable and open to the Good News crowd!
