Such a treat to have an old friend in town - Matt and Steve were friends before we ever met, and the stories of their adventures are legendary. We spent some good time together, with Steve's wife Robin, one year in Thailand (2003). But these two guys haven't seen each other in ten years.
And then here he was, and they were together again, and they were out on bikes, of course.
Such a great excuse for Matt to take a much needed day off and play hard in the mountains.
This terrain is just not far from our home, we live right on the edge of incredible mountains (which, unfortunately, we rarely glimpse from our city, although if the skies are exceptionally clear we might get a peek).
I think this is the picture that caused me to ask "But i thought you were road biking?!?!"
Apparently there were a few spots where bikes were carried, but paved paths/roads went farther in and further up and they just kept riding. A sweet long day for Matt and Steve in the mountains.
