back on our bikes

These weekend bike rides are just perfect fun for our family.  We had no idea about the greenway system or how much joy it would bring when we signed a lease on this apartment.  But, wow, are we grateful!

After a summer away we needed to raise bike seats, again.  These kids will not stop growing!

John Paul is just about too big for his bike (which originally belonged to Lydia).  Lucky little brother, his big sister Julianna is also needing a new bike.  So he'll be inheriting hers soon :)

We call this the "kite bridge" and it's our favorite place to stop (though no one was flying kites today, or at least not as early as we were riding!)

And Luke - big day for our littlest guy!  He rode the entire 7 mile loop (plus some - because we detoured for lunch)....

and he was feeling like pretty tough stuff by the end of the ride!

Now that the temperature has dropped under 90 we hope to be enjoying more bike rides soon!  The girls are at a birthday party and it's leftovers for dinner so a nice slow late afternoon for everyone!
