day three {friends}

Friday morning we were blessed with visits from friends.... Julianna and Lydia each had their "best" buddy from Riverside (their ND school) come over to play!  So fun!

Julianna and Haley, Lydia and Gigi....  both sets of girls picked up like they hadn't missed a day - so sweet for this mama to watch!

And that afternoon the whole family went out to visit some of our best(est) friends in town... the Snyders!  I remember visiting them right after we got married - had no idea that 13 years later their home would be a very safe, easy, restful place for me to be!

Last time we were in ND Isaac and Simeon spent most every Wednesday together.  So fun to see them together again (on Friday afternoon, and again at church Sunday morning).

and speaking of friends - what surprise delight to see this family sneak in to the few remaining seats in our pew on Sunday morning.  Renee and Lydia did a bit of whispering during the service :)

We are tremendously blessed by friendships in ND.  It's hard to leave town knowing we missed good time with so many people, but tonight I'm choosing to be thankful for the moments we got (all too short) with the ones we did see and hug and visit!
