Another full week. I hope to go back and blog with some pictures from my birthday, but in the meantime I'm just going to jump in and start with last night.
The preschools do huge performances for Children's Day and we considered pulling out this year. But Isaac decided he wanted to participate, so we did :) The actual show was last night - his Granddaddy and I were the honored guests!
I took him to school earlier in the afternoon for final rehearsals, etc. He was a bit nervous but mostly just plain excited to be a part of such a big show.
The school constructed a stage in the back grassy area - behind it is the wing where all three of my boys classrooms are located. Isaac (third set of windows from the left, upstairs), Luke (far left yellow walls downstairs) and John Paul (directly behind the stage).
Isaac and his classmates did a play about butterflies and flowers and a rainstorm. Isaac was one of the rain drops. It was a supporting role :)
Most of the children in his class (including him) will leave preschool this year and head off to elementary school. Big changes on the horizon!!1
Extra fun that my dad could be there. He did a lot of people watching :) It's a different culture, that's for sure. Plenty of interesting things to watch.
I'm so thankful for this boy. And excited to see what is in store for him next year!

precious.
Grandaddy loved being the 'extra parent' who got a ticket to attend. With pale hair and rosy cheeks (with help from stage makeup), Isaac looks like the Scandinavian boy he is!
