We spent most of the day playing and resting, but tonight after dinner the kids worked on packing up their stuff. I hate hate hate that they have to do this. I hate asking them to choose which things they want to take, which they want to keep/store at Grandma's, which they'd like to give away.
But reality is that in the next month or so we need to condense our lives into 7 suitcases. There is a lot that won't make the cut. (Especially considering I'm prioritizing other things, like clothing!)
We talked tonight about things we'll miss. In this home, this city, this country. Near the top of the list is certainly the parks.
This town is just full of great parks. FULL!!! We love it! Especially now that the temperatures are warmer and the play equipment no longer buried under piles of snow.
This afternoon Matt golfed with his dad and some friends, Lydia played at Gigi's house, and I had a quick errand to run with the other four. En route we passed two parks we'd never visited and when the errand went quicker than expected we couldn't resist a quick stop before heading home for dinner.
Big blue sky.
Plenty of sunshine (and a high of 50! Please remind me of this next winter when I think 50 is cold!)
I'm thinking we'll be back at this one, and visiting some other new spots before we head out of town.
